Company demonstrates holistic program and systematic approach to protecting confidential company, client, and third-party information across global operation

STAMFORD, CT, July 23, 2019 — EXTEND Resources, a leading operational performance improvement solutions company, today announced that the company has achieved ISO 27001:2013 certification, the international standard for best practices in information security management systems. SRI, an accredited registrar that provides comprehensive evaluation, auditing, and certification services worldwide, conducted the audit and certification.

EXTEND Resources, along with its affiliates, has a legacy of employing sound information security practices for the company and its clients. In addition to working with organizations to develop information security management systems and achieve ISO 27001 certification, the company developed OnTrack™ 27001, a web-based platform designed to streamline and simplify the way information security managers create, manage, and continuously improve their programs and demonstrate compliance with a variety of standards.

“Improving performance often begins with securing information so that an organization can reduce risk, safely use information to perform day-to-day business functions, and mine their data to generate valuable insights that spark further performance improvements,” said Howard Hoffmann, CEO of EXTEND Resources. “As a global services provider that works with companies in healthcare, finance, technology, and other industries that capture and use sensitive data, we are vigilant about the importance of protecting the security of the information we handle – including personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI).”

Throughout the auditor’s assessment, EXTEND Resources successfully demonstrated stringent policies and a systematic approach to protecting and managing sensitive company and client information along with information entrusted to it by third parties. The ISO 27001:2013 certification extends to every level of the organization’s people, processes, and technology, including its IT infrastructure stack, access control, asset management, operational and human resources processes, technology applications such as EXTEND’s OnTrack™ compliance management platform, and global operations in the U.S. and the Philippines.

“The wide-reaching scope and holistic nature of EXTEND’s certification demonstrate our commitment to securing information and give our customers confidence that they can trust us to protect their data,” noted Antonella Commiato, Chief Technology Officer and CISO of EXTEND Resources. “Beyond allowing an internationally recognized audit company to verify the quality of our security practices, we’ve also committed to continually improving those practices.”
